She was so beautiful... Red hair falling just over her shoulders and those eyes...perfectly oval and bright. River never saw such big brown eyes as hers. Nothing looked as wonderful, as lovely as she. It was rather interesting that he seemed to have no trouble talking with other girls he had fancied, but not her. He never even meet her and now...it was too late.
River’s brows closed right above his eyes, concentrating, thinking about the memories he had of her walking around in town, shopping for family members. She was wearing a simple grey dress, do to the fact that she wasn’t of the noble. Even in rags she was rather beautiful...it was not normal for a human to be that stunning. Lily took his breath away, she simply just had to be in the same area for River to just...be happy for a moment.
It had been once, River could recall the day, when they had actually made eye contact. She had smiled at him and all he could do was tare. Oh, how he wish he could have just said hello, how life would be now. How he would have someone to love rather to flirt with. She was perfect, too perfect to have him though. She was just too good. Now it was too late, she was gone.
”Lily...” he breathed, cold air puffing out from his lips, do to the chilly air. He was in love with a person he couldn’t have then and certainly couldn’t have now. What could have been was the haunting River now endured every time he dreamt of her sweet face.

Nancy sat at the bar looking for some escape. Some drunk was sat next to her and going on about...about? She wasn't listen she didn't care about his drunken slurs, or what they were about. The most annoying part of it was he kept saying, you know what I mean. If she was listening she probably would, she had more life experience than him. 115 years and she was sat at a bar her only friend a drunk she hated. She carried on looking around trying not to make eye contact hoping they guy would give up. Then she heard a loud bang. She turned to see the drunk out cold, his head resting on the bar. She quickly drunk the rest of her dink and slid off the stood.
God, could humans get any more annoying. She couldn’t get away from it. Most of the time any way. Only if she was in her room but then she could still hear them. Some were ok, but most boring. She took the lift up to the top floor were her room was. Walking down the corridor to her room she passed the door for the roof. Why not it was deserted most of the time and she wanted to be left alone.
She stepped out onto the roof and her shoes tapped on the ground. She saw a guy also up there. She head him speak, “no it’s just you and me you loon.” She said under her breath. You could tell she wasn't in a good mood. She walked to the edge of the roof sitting on the edge. She slipped off her heels and let her feet dangle off the edge. She looked over onto the street then took out a cigarette and lit it up.

It was a rather disturbing moment as his thoughts were ripped out from his skull as an intruder entered. River sunk slowly down into the wall that supported him. His brow sunken over his eyes as he stared at the newcomer. What did she just call me? It was low but he still heard it.
Chuckling at the evidently high tempered female he shrugged, trailing away from thoughts of Lily. It only seemed to be when he was alone that memories of the loved one would pop in his mind. He watched he light a cigarette, suddenly finding the urge to do the same.
“Wow, very impressive insult.” he teased, pulling out a pack of his own and opening the lid. “What’s next? Bird brain?” A grin appeared on his face as he drugged a smoke from the pack and placed it generally in his mouth.
Digging deep into all four pockets, River suddenly remembered the lighter he had left back in his room. Cursing softly he looked over at the female. “Mind if I steal your fire for a second?” His dark eyes sparkled slightly as he calmly flirted with the young lady. It wasn’t different to anyone to know that River flirted with any girl on two legs. It was a closer for him, something to keep his mind away from the bad.

she smiled to herself and blew out the smoke into the cold air that surrounded her. "thanks I've been working on that one for a while." she said still looking out onto the city as the buildings lit up the night.
she still couldn't get over stuff like this. the grand scale of things. the world really had developed. is she was told the world would look like that one day when she was a young girl she wouldn't have believed it. the sound of cars were heard from the street below. horns and sirens echoed though the city.
she smiled rolling her eyes at the guy. she bet he wished he had he's own light now. "sure bird brain." she said rummaging though her pocket and finding her lighter which she held up in the air, but she never turned around.

River grinned as she carried on the joke. Perhaps first impressions weren’t always correct. “I can tell.” he smirked, finding comfort in the wall in which he leaned against. The music of the town was highly alive on this certain night. River found it a bit exciting, unlike some of his kind who preferred silence. He found himself run more toward the wild side, filled with music, drugs, and women.
His eyes drifted toward the other vampire and he smiled again, watching her pull up a lighter and calling him ‘bird brain’. Oh, funny She still didn’t turn, giving him the impression that she didn’t exactly want to hold conversation.
Pulling himself from the wall he guided himself toward the lady, the cigarette still hanging on his lips. Instead of grabbing the lighter, a sudden thought popped into his mind. Something that might bring the other woman to becoming more active. He hated silence between people.
“Hey, my hands are kind of hurting right now, could you possibly light my smoke for me?” he asked.

she sat and stared out over the city, lights nose. the cool air brushed past her, and every time she breathed out the smoke from her mouth it came back in her face. she didn't mind she liked the smell. If Jamie could see her know. on the roof of a massive hotel, he would die all over again. the time she was brought up in, the times Jamie was brought up in would have looked down on her actions. drinking, smoking, wearing what she was wearing. ok so tight jeans and a baby doll top, not that bad, but in those days. she stopped thinking and just laughed to herself.
she turned around to look at the other vampire. it used to be a rare occasion finding one of your own but it happened most days in this hotel. "sure" she said and got up. she used her left hand to protect the flame from the evening wind. her cigarette balanced between her lips.she moved the flam forward to the cigarette, much like hers, hanging from his lips. she lit the end and put the lighter back in her pocket.
she took a drag from the cigarette and took it from her mouth breathing the smoke out. "I'm Nancy." she said holding out her hand toward the guy.
