Bella's white skin sparkled under the bright sunlight as she stalked discreetly throughout the courtyard, trying to keep unnoticed. Besides the roof, this was one of her favorite places to go to think. The flowers offered some amount of comfort to her, though bright as their colors might be. She loved their intricate designs, their aroma, and many other things about them.
As far as she could tell, she was alone for the moment, which meant she could do a bit of reading before someone came looking to drag her back inside. She opened her book and searched for the sentence she'd stopped at last, finally continuing in her reading once she'd found it.

Jaydn was going insane. First, she found out that there were vampires, then she found out she was living with them. Eveything was very confusing. After she found out she basically stayed in her room for as long as she could. She'd pop out for a minute to get something to eat, and then she'd go back. But now she couldn't stand to be in that room any longer, and the hotel made her slight claustraphobia worse. She had found a door that had led to some courtyards and she'd gone out. She wandered through the plants, just taking in the fresh air and space. She was starting to get used to the idea that there were vampires and she was pretty sure the ones that were in the hotel weren't going to eat her. But that was all she knew, and it wasn't enough to make her feel safe.

Bella groaned when she caught sight of yet another human walking through the courtyard. Between all of them, she would never get a chance to think, let alone finish her book. This time it was another young girl coming down the path, looking fairly nervous and apprehensive. Bella's guess was that she knew of the coven; by now, she knew, it was hardly a secret, and besides the humans had already thought of them as monsters. She let out an arrogant laugh, careful not to make it so loud that the girl would hear her, and quickly relocated herself to a spot where she was less likely to be noticed.

Jaydn started when she thought she heard a noise. Now she was just being ridiculous. This was taking everything way too far, there wasn't anyone else in here and if their were they probably wouldn't want to suck her blood. She wasn't even sure how many of the vampires there were. The whole thing was probably blown out of proportion by everyone talking about it. She kept walking and enjoying the space.
