RP sample:
A simple smile and a blissful strut landed Hazely at the beach. She had been coped up in the tour bus for so long listening to her band mates bicker. She needed some time for herself to relax and de-stress.
Under her arm was a thin beach chair. It was vinyl and covered in ducks and puckering fish. Every once and a while Haze would pretend she was one of the fish and pucker up at random people who would walk by her. She loved watching their faces contort into that or confusion or utter amusement.
Walking around the warm sand, Haze finally found the perfect spot to set up her ducky/fishy chair. She put it down and pushed some grainy sand over the foot holds to keep it in place. Before she sat down, Haze pulled out her pair of cheetah printed sunglasses and some tanning lotion from her purple beach bag. She slipped the glasses on and tossed the brown bottle into her chair as her pink tube top and stripped shorts came off and thrown into her bag. Now, she was ready to sit and begin bathing herself in tanning lotion.
Plopping into her chair and flicking the cap on her bottle open, Haze began to drizzle the white, thick, liquid onto one of her legs. She rubbed it in and went to the rest of her body. Once she was all rubbed up, she leaned back into her chair and tossed the bottle aside.
Hazely stretched out as much as her chair would allow her as her flip flops began to slide off. She tilted her face up towards the sky and let the warm rays from the sun light up her skin. Breathing deeply, Haze sat there, eyes closed and hair gently swaying in the gentle sea breeze. For the first time since she could remember, she felt completely isolated and like she had found her bliss. Don't get me wrong, Haze loves to be on tour, but the tour is in a word, chaotic and stressful. Although, it is also a huge adrenaline rush that keeps Hazely going, but there are times when everyone needs to get away from the loud music and screaming fans, even if it's just for a second.

Digging deeper
Personality: Haze is one that loves to have fun. She will do most anything for a good laugh. Even if she comes off as immature, she doesn't care. She was forced to grow up to fast so now she's going back in time, to relive her childhood. However, don't think she's always all fun and games. She has an extremely short temper. Tell her she's immature, see what happens. She has no problem telling people how it is. She also believes that if you have something to say to someone, say it to their face, not their back. She loves to smile. So practical jokes and pranks are her style. You might just want to peek around the corner before you walk there. Haze might be standing there waiting to throw something at you.
Hazely likes to be in the spotlight. This may be one reason she acts a little immature at times. However, I suggest you leave her alone if she says to. Haze craves to be set apart from everyone else. She wants to make a name for herself and be an individual, which she most certainly is. In her world we are bestowed with two paths. We may walk in the footsteps left for us, or we may walk away and began our own trail. The second is the path Haze has chosen.
When she is alone, Haze is generally very quiet. This is because when she is alone her mind wanders to her three year childhood. Inside, she is a very sad soul when alone or in the dark. However, Haze acts as though nothing is wrong. Very few people know of her past and the affects it has left with her. Generally when she is caught in remorse she cracks open a riddle when asked why she looks so glum. If not a riddle, then she begins talking in circular logic that only the truly comprehensive can understand. Then, she begins to laugh. Laughter is her way. Whether she is sad, happy, scared, or angry. She laughs a terrible lot. Besides her laughter, she has an overactive imagination. She can take the littliest story that has no interest value and turn it into the greatest adventure tale you have ever heard. Her overactive imagination also has flaws. It keep her up at night with strained visions of what may happen.
Along with everything I have already told you, Hazely is a seductive being when she is in the correct mood. She can seduce almost anyone when the ambiance and her attire is right. She has a certain way with words and a certain way of getting her body close to someone else's without being too close that seems to make most aroused. She has never truly understood why she entranced people so when she acted this way and made her eyes sparkle as they do when she wants to "get to know" someone, but she loves the feeling of it.

It's all in the past
Personal history: Hazely was born on July 16, 1990. She was the Kane family's first and only child. The family was happy and one of the most respected in a small farm community in Kansas. It was a cold winter day when all changed however. The date was December 18, 1993. Haze can remember the date well because of the events that happened. The memory is burned into her mind, replaying constantly in a circular motion as if it was a merry-go-round. She was playing with some of the farm animals in the barn, trying to keep warm by keeping active. She kept concentrating on how cold it was and how she desperately wanted warmth. At that exact moment, she noticed a gas lamp in the corner. She ran to the gas lamp and accidently hit it with a swaying arm. The gas spilled and the fire from the lamp ingited the gas and the hay in the barn. Hazely panicked and as her emotions outraged, the flames grew. Billows of smoke arose from the barn and it seemed everything was being turned to ash in the unmerciful path of the fire. The fire to the barn was unnoticed until Mark went to go fetch Haze for supper. He ran into the barn, through the flames in desperate attempt to save his daughter. When Haze was able to see his silhouted figure through the intense flames and heat, her panic grew. For now, she was not only worrying for her own safety, but her father's as well. Her rising panic only fueled the fire further as she was trying the stomp it out, but instead the embers flew and spread throughout the barn, trapping her father underneath a ceiling beam that had fallen. As the beam went up in flames, so did her father. His screams were forever embeded into Hazely's memory. At the death of her father, he panic was replaced by remorse and sadness. Her tears seemed to extinguish the flames as both Haze and Charlie remember. The two ran to Mark and rolled the beam off of what remained of the husband and father. Haze was too engulfed in her own sadness to even begin to think of life without her father.
Four years after her father's death, Haze was beginning to understand what had happened that night. Her mother had taken her out of school and was home schooling her in order to avoid an emotional outbreak from her daughter. She did not want her eleven year old daughter to fall victim to childhood ridicule. At age twelve, Hazely's grandmother took her and Charlie to Hawaii for two weeks. She believed they both needed some time to relax and unwind. However, Haze was once again emotionally scarred. She and her grandmother were walking along the shoreline late one night when Haze saw something floating in the water out of the corner of her eye. She swam out to it and discovered it was a half eaten dolphin. She screamed in surprise and tears came to her eyes as her hand out reached towards the sea mammal. She wasn't sure why she had the impulse to touch the creature, but she had. Her entire body froze and a lifetime of memories flooded her vision. From one touch to the dolphins cold skin, Haze was able to imagine how it died. She hated the feeling that death had given her. It was as though death surrounded her in every way.
On the plane ride home, her grandmother died of a fatal heart attack. The funeral was two days later at the farm. She was buried next to her son. It was what she had said she wanted in her will. When Haze was going through her grandmother's things, she found a beautiful conch shell. The one she had found and asked her grandmother to hold. She smiled and put it into her pocket, swearing never to let it out of her sight. To this day, Hazely believes that some of her grandmother's spirit is attached to the shell, watching over her.
Two years after her grandmother's death, Charlie was making more and more visits to the town's doctor. She had been afflicted with lung cancer. It was in it's early stages but it was going to be fatal. It was in such an odd part of the lungs that it was impossible to remove by surgery. Charlie was moved to the hospital for permanent vigil. Charlie was unable to take Hazely with her to the hospital and so asked around for anyone who knew of somewhere she could stay. She called her sister, Meridith and sent Haze to go stay with her at her home in Las Vegas. Haze, age fourteen said goodbye to her mother and has not spoken to her since then.
First into high school and life seemed fine. She had established a few stable friends, most older than her, and had even been through a relationship or two. Hazely's world seemed to be turning right side up again until her best friend's Sweet Sixteen. It was Caitlyn's Sweet Sixteen and it was the biggest party since ever for Natalie. She and all the guests were having fun until Hazely decided to go searching for Caitlyn. She had been missing for quite a while and Hazely had some very interesting information for her friend. When Haze went to go check the restroom at the party hall, she was horrified at what she saw. There her friend lay, limbs at the other end of the room, blood everywhere. Haze couldn't understand how it could have happened or what vile person would have commited such an unthinkable act. As it turned out, Caitlyn had been raped by her boyfriend than murdered for everyone to see. Haze would never be the same mentally even though no one would see her pain, she wouldn't let them.
After Caitlyn's murder, Hazely's aunt moved her to Fresno, California where she attended LeVants Academy. It was this period in her life that Haze discovered the beauty of the guitar, singing, and poetry. It allowed her to express her inner thoughts and feelings in a whole new way. At the end of her freshman year, however, Haze became involved with a boy by the name of Robert Fischer. He introduced her to booze, overwhelming amounts of sex, cigarettes, and heroine.
By the end of her sophomore year, Haze's body began to shut down from the excessive intake of heroine and alcohol. She was hospitalized for half of the summer and shoved into rehab the second half. Needless say, she had nothing to do with Robert after that.
When she came back to school in the fall, Haze swore to stay off heroine. She knew she couldn't stop drinking and she wasn't going to try. It was just so entwined into her system. However, to lessen her alcoholic intake, she joined the poetry club to put her heart, soul, and mind into something different. It seemed to help and bring life back to the brighter side until she got stuck here in a hotel full of vampires. Just her luck.

When I look in the mirror
Hair: If one did not know what bleach blonde was before, one would know immediately after gazing upon Hazely. Her hair is perhaps the lightest shade of blonde you will ever find. However, her roots are a light shade of brown. She will usually bleach them out. Of course, if she falls into one of her "I just don't care any more" moods, she will do no such thing. Her hair length also varies along with her moods. Some months she will decide to keep it longer where others she will choose to keep it short and choppy falling to about shoulder length. Whichever length she chooses, you will usually find her hair up in messy low pigtails. Her bangs are also cut slighty choppy and fall to the tips of her eye lashes. On the left side of her head, Haze has a thick strip of hair that is colored to look like cheetah spots.
Eyes:
They are somewhat large and prying. Her teal eyes always seem as though they are analyzing whom you truly are and are not fooled by any charades. Which, most of the time is true. She usually enhances her unique color with mass amounts of eye make-up. Surrounding her eyes is usually thick lines of blue, green, or black eyeliner accompanied with brightly colored glitter eyeshadow and of course her lashes are drowned in mascara.
Height: 5'2
Weight: 99lbs
Tattoos/Piercings:
Haze has six tattoos in total and is planning to get more. The first tattoo she ever got is located in the small of her back, however it is not really small. The tattoo is of a red rose in the process of wilting and coming out if the grayed stem is a black widow. She has green and purple twisted ivy rings around both thighs and her right upper arm. Around her navel, Haze has a multicolored sun with the words "Don't worry, be happy" spiraling around it. Finally, on the back of her left shoulder, she has a blue crescent moon surrounded by stars and sitting on the tip is a faerie reaching out for one of the stars. As far as piercings go, Haze has fifteen. She has six in each ear which included her cartlige for both. She has a matching pair of lip rings in her bottom lip on both sides. Lastly, Haze is pierced in her navel where she usually keeps a ring with the initials CK ingraved into the top ball.
