RP sample:
The library was brightly lit with candles of all sorts. The library was alive with students, mostly ravenclaws, who sat at long wooden tables reading books. Some older Slytherins were whispering gossip among themselves. The hufflepuffs were kindly sharing notes with eachother, and the Gryffindors might have been telling stories of quidditch, or home, or whatever else they can tell eachother about. The library was a place for quiet, and yet, people still whispered among eachother.
In this enviorment, some little girl was unusual. Of course, you wouldn't see that she looked rather out of place, for she was hidden. In the far back of the library by fiction stories of wizardes and fairies and happy mermaids, a small child sat with books sprawled out all across the floor. She sat up against the bookshelf, right behind it. About 4 foot, and there was a wall which ended the library's space.
She sat with her knees scrunched up to her chest, and a book balanced on her knees. The book was wrapped in a fine leather of an animal's skin. Maybe alligator. The book title read 'Ida's Luck.' It was a sad story of a little girl, who just appeared one day on the corner of Main Street. She didn't know where her parents where, and the only thing you knew about her was that around her neck, a large tag read 'My name is Ida.'
An eldery women took her in until her parents would come get her. But Ida's parents never came. So, she stayed with the women. Everything was going fine. Ida was a well-behaved, silent child who did everything she was asked to. Then bad things started to happen around town. And everytime something bad happened, Ida was always there. She started wandering at night.
That was as far as Ariina had gotten. Feverishly, Ariina flipped the page with pale hands, wanting more of the sad story. All in all, Ariina looked like she had appeared on the corner of Main Street in a horrible thunderstorm too. Her hands were slightly boney, liek the rest of her body, and she was pale. Along with her hair, which was a flat, pale blonde and went to about her shoulders. Her eyes were really the only colorful things of her natural body. Big emerald pools of green, which showed almost no emotion in them.
The little girl looked about 13, although she was actually only 12. Turning 13 very next year though, Ariina never knew why she was birthed on the day of hearts, Valentines Day. It was one of those 'Why is that?' questions. Despite her age, she was a 3rd year. And the girl was a child prodigy, mastering the skill of 6 languages by her little age. But that really made no difference to little Ariina.
The female wore the normal Hogwarts uniform, plus robes wrapped around herself. The Ravenclaw crest was sewn onto the robe by her shoulderblade, showing the raven which was the symbol of ravenclaw. Ravens were smart creatures, no doubt, but shiney objects made them lose their focus.
Ariina liked to think that she was a raven. A studious female, but had a large weakness of something rather stupid. At first glance, she would seem heartless and slightly stuck up. A shield, and a mask she wore to keep people away. Friendship came with goods and bads. But she didn't want the bads. She would live without the pros, and save her the suffering of cons.
A large stack of books were piled high by her, and then another stack at her other side. One of the stack was her 'out' books, and the other, her 'in.' Because she couldn't check out those many books, she spent most of her time reading and much as she could in the library. Alone, of course. When she was studying, it was fine for other people to see her with a book in her hand. But when she was reading for enjoyment, she prefered not to tell anyone. Afterall, they might see beyond the mask.
The female flipped the page, still reading Ida's Luck. It was a sad book, and it reminded her of how lucky she actually was. The female smiled to herself at the thought, but then her face returned to being emotionless. A few more pages, and this book would be in the 'out' pile. But as every book came to an end, she wished it wouldn't, even if she knew that it must. Maybe that's how life really was.

Digging deeper
Personality:
Romeo is a genius. This is, of course, obviouse from his house, but I still feel the need to mention this. Unlike his sister, if you ask him what war happened in 1432, he would answer precisely without even so much of a second thought. But, Romeo does not use his gift to a great advantage. In fact, he hardly even pays much attention to any academics.
Of course, there is a downside to Romeo. A great manipulater, Romeo can seduce, bribe, or convince anyone in a matter of seconds, though it depends on what kind of person. Oh yes, he's a very smart cookie. But Romeo is a sadistic creature, who really only cares for himself. The boy could watch his own family burn in a fire, and smile while doing it.
Let's just get to the main point here. Romeo is an asshole. There's really no other way to put it. That,. and he's pretty much screwed in the head. His temper is so bad that if you anger him enough, he'll start throwing knives at your head. A little mental and paraniod, Romeo is not the kind of person you want to be enemies with.
Another quirk to him is that Romeo doesn't really love. He lusts. A somewhat terrifying thought, sure, but the boy is total flirt, with both genders, too. Like I said before, he's a manipulater. A user. And definetly not the kind of guy you really want to befriend. Of course, if you do somehow manage to win his trust (though I doubt why you'd want to, he's a total biash), he'll probably protect you with his life.
Romeo enjoys getting other people angry. Once more, sadistic much? Somewhat like a puppet-master, he loves having control and craves being the ruler. Romeo's ego is bigger then the world, if not bigger. An ambitious guy with weird plans and a screwed up mind. That's exactly what Romeo is.

Personal history:
Romeo's first year of life was wonderful. He was the man, the little tike of his family. His parents oohed and aahed over his cuteness, and of what great potential he'll have. He was, in a sence, adored, admired, and loved beyond anyone's ability. Beatrice and Claudis couldn't have a better child, they said to all those whom passed by their home. Their friends, even strangers probably already know of how the Omerre's bragged!
Then, she happened.
Romeo could still hear his mother. The little boy was no more then 1, sitting in a carrige outside his mother's birthing room.
"SHE'S BLIND! MY DAUGHTER'S BLIND!"
The words stung. And from that day, nothing was ever the same. The family began to lose much intrest in Romeo, and began to focus on Juliet. The blind Juliet. It had got so bad, that one time, his father even forgot Romeo's own name. That stung.
So, for refuge, Romeo wandered outside his castle gates (they lived in a small village of large, expensive mansions. Shops were scattered here and there, but mostly the large houses were visible, placed smack-dab in the middle of a large country meadow). Romeo began hanging with the wrong crowd. The people who were also troubled like him. He felt welcomed in the other boys' arms, and fit right in. Slowly by slowly, he began to love less, and hate more.
And as he spent less time at home, Romeo's parents began to just ignore him even more, trying to focus on Juliet and her blindness. Overprotective parents do that, ya know. But Romeo didn't mind. It only meant more time for him to hang out with his friends. It wasn't such a bad deal, after all, right?
