Don't be so scared, we will not lead you on like you've been doing for weeks. So you're selfish, and I'm sorry. When I'm gone you'll be going nowhere fast. Would you believe me if I said I didn't need you, 'cause I wouldn't believe you if you said the same to me. Near death, last breath, and barely hanging on. Would you believe me if I said I didn't need you?
The music blared through the miniture headphones. The Academy is.. Was the band the young-looking female was listening to. Being alive for all eternity, you'd need something to listen to. Her pale arms dangled off the side of the chair dead-like. Her legs were swung over one of its arm rests. Not a nice place to relax, really. the front of the Hotel. the lobby. For some reason Miya didn't feel like hanging out in her room. It was too empty in there or something. Strange. Her blue eyes were closed, and her feet swung ever some often. obviously, she was oblivious to the outside world. Miya's headphones and herself were the only ones around. Well, that she had noticed when she walked down.
Thoughts of random things swam through her head. She knew something was going on, or she thought, but she couldn't remember really. She knew she was stuck inside this stupid place with these stupid humans. It made her sad and angry at the same time. Sad, because she hated being around humans; All it did was remind her of what she once was and what she truely longed. Angry because, well, she hates humans. Its a kind of hypocritcal thing. She hates humans, yet she wants to be able to feel the warmth go through her body. If only one more time. Flinching, she sat up the right way in the chair, and then slid her feet to the ground. Standing, she looking at the front doors. Something else she couldn't pass through.
Sighing, Miya paced back and fourth. Maybe all she really did need was a nap..? No, she had her music. A small smile twitched to the side of her mouth, before she turned down the volum, just in case anyone were to see her or speak to her, and changed the song. A less popular song of theirs, but she still listened.

Katherin was walking through the front lobby to get to her room. She had been sitting in the courtyards until a human couple snuck in to do.... couple things. She had given them space and left. She wasn't hungry and hadn't really had a problem with leaving. She thought they were cute together anyway and if everyone was stuck in here, at least a few of them could be having a good time. She walked past the other vampire who was listening to music.
Music, the one good thing about this century. Finally the stupid human band had moved out of that horrible noise they were making in the 60's and into something half-way decent. She liked the new technology they were makng these days and ipods were fasinating. She couldn't tell what exactly she was listening to, but she got the general idea. Katherin glanced in the direction of her room and grimaced. She didn't want to go up there. What she really wanted was to get drunk. But even though she wasn't hungry she still wasn't exactly full and didn't think losing complete control over her wilder side would be wise at the moment. Pausing infront of the vampire with the now quieter music she looked at her and smiled.
"Hello," she said pleasantly. "Haven't seen you around yet." she said. She thought she had seen most of the others lurking around here, but maybe she had missed a few. Talking to humans was entertaining, they were so naieve, but sometimes she just wanted to have a conversation with someone of her own species. "How's your day going ?"

Miya stopped when she saw the other female. She took off the headphones quickly, trying not to be rude."Hello," She answered. With a small giggle she sighed. "Yeah, I normally just stay in my room so that must be why..." True, she didn't get out much. Miya used to be a social butterfly, lately she's kept herself away from socializing. But now she was glad she came down, she had forgotten how nice it was to have a conversation. "My name is Miya, by the way. And yours?" She had almost forgotten the most important thing when meeting someone; Tell them your name. Or else, well...If they ever were to see you again they'd say 'It's...That one girl!' Embarassing when that happens.
Miya put her pale hands in the pockets of her jeans. It wouldn't make them any warmer, it was just a habit. Now she thought of how her day did go. She didn't eat breakfast...She didn't eat lunch... When dinner time would come she probably wouldn't eat that either. Most of the day she was wandering halls and sitting around in the lobby. Not very exciting for anyone, even Miya. There was nothing else to really do at this point though. Sure, theres a spa. Not really the spa liker so thats off a list of things to do. Sure theres a pool. Not much a swimmer either. Okay, so she's a really picky person. Who can blame her? "Its going.. Rather dull." She sad with a fangy grin. Theres no way to hide them, so theres no need to make a big fuss of trying to. "How about yours?" She asked nicely.

She furrowed her brow when the female now know as Miya said she stayed in her room. Katherin just couldn't do that. She missed out on too much of the action when she did that. "Katherin Jones, nice to meet you, Miya." she said with a smile. "Yes, I think the dullness is effecting everyone," she commented, looking around the literally lifeless lobby. "It wasn't so long ago that this old place had life," she mused with a sigh. It always made her sad when she thought of how the hotel used to be. She would stop here every few years and had grown rather fond of the place. It always had interesting people in it. It still does now, but the people aren't exactly what you would call guests. More like hostages, but in the best possible sense. "My day has been...." she paused as she searched for the right word. "uneventful," she finished, still smiling. She looked at Miya as she asked her next question. "So why exactly are you here ?"
