[/right] Can you take this spike? Will it fill our hearts with thoughts of endless Night time sky? Can you take this spike? Will it wash away this jet black feeling?
Raina flipped the switch on her iPod over to off. Vampires Will Never Hurt You may be an appropriate song to listen to based on the current situation, but it really wasn't very reassuring at all. Hey, you try adjusting to living in a hotel full of the blood-thirsty mythical beings and we'll se how you feel about the song. Raina was in the lobby. It was just past twilight and the sun had recently sunk low in the colorful Orlando sky. This had been Raina's first trip to Orlando, and yeah... it definitely wasn't what she had been expecting. Raina sat back in the puffy chair she was sitting in. She was slightly nervous -- sure the vampires had said that they were't going to kill any of them... but how should that reassure her? The fact that they even existed was shock enough. Tapping her foot against the seat, Raina thought about all the kids here who had families that were missing them. Raina couldn't tell what they must be feeling -- she hadn't left anyone behind. Because of that, mixed with the fact that she kept very few friends at school, Raina felt extremely isolated trapt in this huge hotel. She didn't understand why they couldn't leave. If anyone even went running to the authorities talking about a hotel full of vampires, it wasn't like they would be taken seriously. Raina sighed, pulling her knees up onto the couch. She tapped her foot restlessly. There were a few people... or were they vampires? Well, they were wandering around the hotel lobby, but for the most part the hotel was quiet. This unnerved Raina even more. [/blockquote][/blockquote][/blockquote][/size]

Delilah walked quietly out of her room. The sun was finally down, so she could mosey her way about the hotel. Even though she was inside, she couldn't take any chances of exposure to the sun. She did hate it a lot after all. She decided to take the elevator instead of the stairs today. She clicked the little button with the down arrow on it.
After waiting about three minutes the elevator climbed its way to the top floor. The large doors opened in the middle, and she entered the small cramped elevator. Delilah pressed the button that said 'Lobby' and she felt her stomach jerk along with the elevator. The rides in the elevator seemed to take forever. You sit there staring at another person, or the wall until your stop comes. Quite boring actually.
Delilah leaned back on the wall of the elevator, and began humming a song she'd heard earlier that day. She wasn't even sure of the name of the song. She just liked the way it went. Finally the elevator doors opened, and a little 'ding' was heard. She couldn't stand sitting in one place for a long amount of time. She was restless, impatient. Which always worked against her. Delilah stepped out of the elevator doors, and saw a girl sitting down in her favorite chair. It wasn't the fact there was someone sitting in her favorite chair, it was who was sitting in her favorite chair. As Delilah walked closer, she hummed louder, though the girls ipod was probably too loud to hear her.
She sat down in a chair across from Raina and sat there staring at her, or rather right through her. Delilah crossed her arms, and leaned back in the chair, crossing her legs. How third grade, but Delilah didn't care. She was dead after all. Why should she care how she acted?

[/right] It was a moment before Raina noticed the girl sitting across from her. Delilah. She had met her maybe once since they had arrived at the hotel, but already she could tell the two didn't like each other. And the way that Delilah was seated right now, with her arms crossed and gazing past Raina like she wasn't even there, just emphasized this belief even more. Raina shifted awkwardly in her seat. Normally, she would have pitched a bitch fest if anyone else had acted this way toward her. But with a vampire? Raina wasn't going to test her. She liked living, thanks. Deciding that the next best thing would be just to talk to her, Raina opened her mouth and spoke. "Umm... hey," she said, somewhat awkwardly. [/blockquote][/blockquote][/blockquote][/size]

Delilah narrowed her eyes at Raina. She didnt like this girl, not at all. Especially the fact that she had a 'crush' on Gerard didnt help her dislikement for the girl. Even though Delilah wasn't much older then Raina, she looked at her like a child. So young and naive. Which got Delilah to thinking, the reason why she probably hated Raina so much was because she reminded Delilah so much of herself. And in a way, so was sort of jealous that Raina had life in her.
"Your in my favorite chair." She breathed.

[/right] Raina's eyes narrowed as well. As stated before, had it been anyone else Raina wouldn't have tolerated this. But Raina still was going to be very careful when it came to the vampires at this hotel, especially one that didn't like her. Even though Gerard had promised none of them would touch her, or any of the other students and teachers for that matter, Raina was still on easy. The look in the other girl's eyes read pure venom. "Uh... I guess I can move? There's like.. a million other chairs in here," Okay, so she wasn't going to be completely civil. The last words she spoke were slightly sarcastic. Raina stood up, carrying her purse with her, and moved a couple of chairs over, still gazing back at Delilah with dislike. The lobby smelled of chlorine, cigarette smoke, and alcohol all combined. Many others had been complaining of the scent in the lobby lounge, but Raina had actually found that she liked it. She settled in her new seat, and breathed in the strange mixture of smells, wondering what the Delilah's reaction would be. She hadn't spoke kindly at all, after all. Delilah rolled her eyes at the girl. She watched the girl get up and move to a different spot. She smirked, it was amusing how humans feared her. Even though she wouldn't do anything to harm any of them [unless she was hungry], they still lived in fear. This was one of the things Delilah had no understanding for; why humans and vampires couldn't just get along. I mean, yeah they co-exist, but why not make two races in to one?
Even after Raina getting up, Delilah still just sat there. She fixed her eyes on the girl once more, still narrowed with hate lingering in them. This proved she was still a kid at heart. This also proved that Delilah didn't care who she was messing with, and always had to have her way, no matter what. Sure, she was a kind girl, but when people ticked her off, it was noticeable, and people should run. Suddenly a different anger came over her, "What do you just let people push you around like that?" She huffed angrily, "Stand up for yourself. Don't fucking take anyones shit."

[/right] Raina rolled her eyes slightly when she saw that Delilah wasn't even moving towards the chair. How immature, to even start something over a petty chair, Raina thought. She wasn't even really sure why they didn't like each other; the only solution that she could come up with was Gerard. Maybe Delilah and Isabella had a problem with a human liking their leader? Raina was shocked by the question that Delilah asked next. Why would she even care if Raina let people push her around or not? "Well, to be honest, I usually don't take people's shit," Raina told her, tilting her head slightly. "But if you want to know the truth... you're a vampire and you scare me," she added, blandly. There was no point skirting around the truth. For all Raina knew, Delilah could read minds anyway, if Anne Rice had her facts straight. [/blockquote][/blockquote][/blockquote][/size]

Delilah scoffed at her 'scary vampire' outlook. "Oh, so thats why you let me push you around?" She asked, "At least give me a good reason as to why you wouldn't stand up to me." She shook her head, "I wouldnt be stupid enough to kill you. Gerard would kill me." She sneered, "Thats not speaking figuratively." She frowned, "To be honest, I don't even see what he sees in you." Delilah had known Gerard for about 4 years now, and she thought she knew him better than this.
"Dont be afraid of the unexplainable. You'll never survive out here with that attitude." She sighed after her little rant. Ranting was tiring.

[/right] Raina shook her head slightly at Delilah's response. "Trust me," she told her, her voice become less and less nervous as she spoke, "If this were the other way around, I'm sure that would be more than a good enough reason."Raina adjusted her weight in her chair, pulling her legs up under her. The scent in the air was making her want a cigarette, but she didn't have any more on her. She made a mental note to stop into the deli and get some before going up to her room. This thought almost made Raina laugh out loud. It was almost like she was reminding herself to stop at the store before going home, only in this situation money was unnecessary and both places happened to be under one roof. Raina opened her mouth to retort when Delilah spoke of Gerard, but quickly closed it, knowing that the other girl was actually probably right. Raina doubted that Gerard saw anything in her. After all, she was just a little, plain mortal girl, centuries younger then him, while he, on the other hand, was gorgeous defined, amazing to talk to, and had lived several lifetimes. "What he sees in me? I think he just has a respect for human life... it ends with that," Raina countered. She didn't mean to make it sound like Delilah didn't have respect for human life, and didn't know if she had made it sound that way, but she quickly regretted the words she had just spoke nonetheless. Delilah narrowed her eyes at the girl, getting up. She hated being disrespected, and talked back to." She felt anger rushing through her head, and adrenaline though her blood. She took a step closer to Raina, fists clenched, and then shook her head, practically forcing herself to back up. Nobody would be happy with her if she did as little as poked Raina. Delilah took a deep breath, shaking her head once more, as if shaking the thoughts out of mind.
"How dare you say I dont have respect for human life," She huffed, "You dont even know me." Oh no, it looked like she was heading for a rant. She sounded furious, "If I didn't respect human life, how would I be not snapping your neck right now?" She un clenched her fists, then re clenched them. "Don't even say that its just because I'm terrified of what Gerard would do--" She said shortly, "Because if I really wanted to, i would go for it." She took a deep breath, letting the bad emotion leak from her. "Just think about that." She crossed her arms across her chest.
